Our skilled whisky making team optimise the right mix of European and American sherry seasoned oak casks to allow the delicate and indulgent flavours of American oak to take centre stage while the more traditional Macallan characteristics of rich fruits, sherry and wood spice provide a reassuringly familiar backdrop.

This beautiful single malt whisky has been maturing in American ex-bourbon casks before soaking up luscious flavours from Central-Otago Pinot Noir barrels. While quietly ageing in their seaside bond store in Oamaru, Dunedin DoubleCask has gained a golden auburn colour and aromas of beeswax and fresh cereal, toasted oak and soft spices with a delicious, long fruity finish. An elegant single malt with depth and characters that make this whisky a truly enjoyable experience.

Locally foraged rosehip forms a natural matrix alongside classic juniper, coriander seed, angelica root, and fresh lemon and orange zest, all vapour-distilled into a Cardrona's Single Malt Spirit. Non-chill filtered to preserve full flavour and character, the spirit may gently cloud when cold or diluted - an unmistakable mark of distinction that reflects the purity, depth, and craftsmanship of this very special drop.
