The Private Bin series has been inspired by the McGuigan family tradition to always share a special family wine with their guest. This Shiraz features delightful dark cherry and plum aromas integrated with some smoky vanillin characters and cinnamon from the oak. The wine has a good mouth feel with both cherry and plum flavours with a peppery spice.

Aromatic nose with outstanding aromas of ripe black fruits such as blackberries and figs. Aromas of crème de cassis meld with mild notes of leather and dark chocolate, which are very characteristic of Syrah from Colchagua. The palate is well balanced with rich acidity, incredibly smooth tannins, tremendous structure, and generous volume.

Crafted from pristine grapes that were hand harvested from a single Pisa vineyard Site. Naturally fermented and pressed to allow an extended period of maturation in French Oak. The Mount Michael Pinot Noir is beautifully fragrant showing aromas of dark cherries and plums, violets and raspberries and a hint of clove and vanilla. Rich and concentrated on the palate with flavours that mirror the nose. Enhanced by a mineral core of acidity and chalky dusty tannins. A delicious savoury finish with toasty oak providing an elegant structure and length. Drinking beautifully now, but you will be rewarded with further cellaring.

The Mountaineer Pinot Noir pays homage to the pioneering spirit and sense of adventure displayed by mountain climbers confronting the forces of nature and celebrating the beauty and grandeur of the New Zealand Southern Alps. Mt Difficulty is a boutique winery located in Bannockburn, Central Otago, and was named after the mountain overlooking Felton road and the southern Cromwell basin. As the vineyards are ageing Mt Difficulty are starting to see additional complexity emerging each vintage. Inviting and opulent, the palate is flush with sweet cherry & blueberry, followed by trademark earth & savoury notes and framed by baking spice and fine grained French Oak. The fruit floods through to the finish with a juicy balance, indicating acidity that will keep the wine aging well.

The grapes for Roaring Meg come from Mt Difficulty's Cromwell basin vineyards managed by their dedicated viticultural team. The addition of fruit from their Bendigo vineyard has lends a powerful, darker edge. Roaring Meg Pinot Noir features red, blue and black berry fruit aromatics. The palate is harmonious with rich dark berries and a savoury line underneath. A hint of spice and dried thyme complement the succulent fruit. Fine silky tannins frame the wine with a great flow and finish.

The Central Otago terroir produces Pinot Noir fruit that is intensely coloured and brimming with flavour, this fruit creates stunning wines with black fruit characteristics and richly perfumed aromatics. Dark blackcurrant, wild blackberry, dried herb and spice drive the aromatics which then lead to a lush ripe textural flow showing great density and depth. The wine finishes with great softness and drive.
